Sponsored entries for low income writers

Our grateful thanks to author Kit de Waal for sponsoring five The Bath Children’s Novel Award 2018 entries for low income writers otherwise unable to afford entry fees. Thanks to the generosity of additional sponsors, the number of pre-paid entries is now 50.

 

How to apply for a sponsored entry:

To apply, please select the “sponsored entry application” option in the payment section of our online entry form and when requested, type “sponsor” in the payee name along with today’s date. If applications exceed the number of sponsored places, the most promising novels will be selected. Successful applicants will be contacted during December 2018 and must be able to provide proof of financial eligibility such as: Jobseeker’s Allowance; Disability Benefit; Income Support; Working Tax Credit; proof of being a full-time student; Housing Benefit; proof of being a full-time carer. All details will be kept entirely confidential.
