Thank you to everyone who took part in The Bath Novel Award 2019. A record 1,343 novel extracts were submitted between 5th December 2018 and 2nd June 2019 and we were delighted by the standard.
2019’s longlist includes writers from Australia, England, Ireland, Qatar, Scotland and the USA. Six writers are returning listees: three with revised drafts and three with new manuscripts.
As our judges read “blind” we’ll be keeping the writers’ identities under wraps until September 19th when 2019 judge, Hellie Ogden of Janklow & Nesbit announces the winning novel at a ceremony here in Bath. We will also then reveal which longlistee has won a place, worth £1,800, on Cornerstones Literary Consultancy’s online course Edit Your Novel the Professional Way.
