The Bath Novel Award 2016 Longlist
This year a record 1,063 novels were submitted by writers in 42 countries.
39 novels have been longlisted, with settings ranging from Georgian Edinburgh to a futuristic London, via Tokyo, The Basque Country and Iran. Historical and literary novels dominate this year’s list, with an especially competitive year for psychological suspense entries.
As our judges read “blind” we’ll be keeping the longlisted writers’ identities under wraps until the winner, as chosen by Susan Armstrong of Conville & Walsh, is announced in July.
